Fred Harder's memories of Mercury

Thanks to ex CRS Fred Harder for the following images which depict some of his memories of HMS Mercury.

The clock tower and transport yard, the crypto classrooms were in there looks like Brian Heaton coming out of the tailor?s shop.
I think a silver birch, dressed in snow in the grounds of Mercury, a bad winter.
Captains rounds, I think it was about 15 or over in a mess, normally one class. Note the small brown cases and the Gas masks, sorry Respirators (got to get it right)
Caught in the snow on the way to Mercury one year, it took from 7:30 in the morning to 3pm when trying to get through the back way. When arriving in Mercury told to go back home ? did not take quite as long to get back.
And what have we hear then ? never used white gloves in Mercury, not like some Captains.
OOW?s office, Victualling shed side of main house, armoury on the left and sick bay and dentist
Do not think you are getting to Mercury this way POTS.
Who had to clean these with a large red rubber and a chunk of canvas on a piece of wood?
From the left, classroom/storage, church, pay office and in the distance, classrooms and the cinema with the pig farm behind it and opposite was the guard room.
Looking out of the back entrance to Mercury, the Meon valley.
Another bad winter.

Black day but all good things must come to an end.
The Hambledon Hunt in front of the main house.
Fred and his sparkers class on Exped not far from Butser Hill.
Nope! We are not lost!
Or are we?
Car Park, used to be the Regulating Office and Drafty.
On left, behind the OOW caboose the PTI?s offices, on the right the Fire Tender with the hose pipes hanging to dry.

In the early 1970?s. If they took a photo of all the Communication Chiefs now how many would there be, and I wonder how many of these faces are still around?
